As soon as you taste this cake, you will immediately fall in love and it will be impossible to resist it! It's very good, I guarantee!    WHAT IS BROWNIE COOKIES?   Brownies are cakes that have a dense texture. This cake has a characteristic brown color and tastes sweet. The name brownies itself is inspired by the brown color of the cake. Because of the delicious taste of this cake, it has become popular and a favorite of many people until now.  While Cookies are made from sweet cake dough which is formed into small pieces and then baked. This cake has a sweet taste and texture that is dry and crunchy on the outside. The name of the cookies

Bungeoppang. The cakes that shaped fish filled with something inside. This is are cute and delicious. Even though it is in the form of a fish, there is no fish in it. Bungeoppang is often found on the roadside in Korea because it is a popular street food there. Surely, you are no stranger to this Korean cake, its often appears in Korean dramas. Let's try to make it, and you can eat it while watching Korean dramas so you can feel the Korean sensation :D

 

WHAT IS BUNGEOPPANG?

Bungeoppang's name in Korean comes from the word "bungeo" meaning carp and the word "ppang" referring to bread. This fish cake first appeared in Korea around 1930. Bungeoppang is a cake originating from South Korea that is similar to waffles. It’s also “brother” with Japanese food Taiyaki. Both of them are cake baked in the form of a fish.

However, the Korean version of this cake is smaller and cheaper. In addition, Bungeoppang is simpler because it only has one type of filling which is red beans. While, Taiyaki has a denser filling and a variety of choices such as red beans, chocolate, sausage, bacon, and many more.

 

WHERE CAN I BUY THE CAKE INGREDIENTS?

You can buy the ingredients to make bungeoppang at @sosofrozen_mlg. You can come to the Soso Frozen store in Karangploso Malang or delivery oder.

You can also buy other cake ingredients because soso frozen provides various variants of cake ingredients.

WHERE CAN I BUY A BUNGEOPPANG MOLD/PAN?

To make bungeoppang, you need a special mold in the shape of a fish. But, you don't need to be confused about where to find the mold/pan, because I've included a link to buy the mold/pan in my Instagram bio. Go directly to my Instagram bio @kharisma.pc and check out the bungeoppang mold!

WHAT FLAVOURS CAN BE USED FOR  BUNGEOPPANG FILLING?

Basically, bungeoppang is filled with red beans. But nowadays you have many filling options for bungeoppang such as chocolate, nutella, cheese, custard, peanut butter and another flavour that can you try!

HOW TO MAKE A BUNGEOPPANG (KOREAN TAIYAKI)

Ingredients:

1. 1 egg

2. 180 ml full cream milk

3. Sugar to taste

4. Salt to taste

5. 11 tbsp wheat flour

6. You can add baking powder (but I don't use it in this recipe)

 

Instructions:

1. First you must make the batter, combine all batter ingredients and mix them well.

2. Preheat the bungeopang mold/pan, and brush it with oil or margarine.

3. Pour the batter mixture onto the bungeoppang pan. Pour only about 50 % of the pan.

4. Add your favorite filling, then add more batter mixture on top to cover the fish mold.

5. Close the pan, turn it over and let it rest for two to three minutes.

6. Serve while warm.
