HONEY BUTTER CHICKEN AND TTEOKBOKKI
It's so good and easy to make!!
In recent years, Korean fried chicken has become very popular among Indonesian people. This can be seen from the many specialist restaurants that serve Ginseng Country fried chicken everywhere.
Interestingly, the existence of a Korean fried chicken menu in its home country is also relatively new. This started in the 1960's. At that time the Korean economy was still difficult so that the fried chicken menu was almost never served. This was reported by Asia One, Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
However, over time, the country's economy has improved so that the chicken menu has become a part of Korean people's lives. It was marked by the establishment of the first fried chicken franchise in Korea, Lim's Chicken, in 1977.
Since then, the fried chicken business is getting busier there. In the 1990s famous fried chicken outlets, KyoChon and Nene Chicken opened their outlets with a more modern version of fried chicken menu.
so, let's jump into the recipe!!
Ingredients:
- 500 gram Chicken Thigh Filet / Breast
- 1 tbsp chicken stock
- 2tbs Corn Starch
- 4tbs AP flour
- 1tbs tapioca flour
- an egg yolk
- Salt
- Pepper
- Enough Oil for Frying
- mozzarella cheese
Sauce Ingredients:
- 20 grams Butter
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1tbs sauce (tomato/chili)
- 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Sugar
- Pepper
How to make
Step 1
Combine the chicken filets with an egg yolk, chicken stock powder, salt and pepper. Leave for 1 hour until the spices infuse.
Step 2
Heat the oil until it's really hot. Then coat the seasoned chicken with flour batter, Press the chicken until the flour is fully attached.
Tips: This method must be done so that the fried chicken will be really crunchy.
Step 3
Fry the first stage of chicken until half cooked then remove and set aside.
Step 4
Put the half-cooked fried chicken back into the hot oil and fry until browned and crispy.
Step 5
Remove and set the chicken aside on a plate.
Step 6
In a separate pan, fry the finely chopped garlic in butter until lightly browned. Then add butter, garlic,honey, sauce. Reduce the heat and stir until a little thick then add the chicken that had been fried dry. Stir again for a while.
Step 7
Taaa daaaa it's done... Don't forget to sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds, okay.. and this is it... Korean Honey Butter Chicken is ready to be served and eaten. Enjoy your meal!
